Décor Finds

Looking for that perfect vintage sofa for your lounge, or specialty décor to fit your theme? We have a network of preferred décor vendors who have amazing inventories. Here are a few places to find unique decor elements:

  • Fox and Fern Vintage Rentals: A local rental company with a large inventory of vintage furniture and decor. From antique couches and ornate bars to small accent pieces, Fox and Fern likely has it. They have an online inventory catalog you can browse. This is a go-to if you want a boho peacock chair for your sweetheart table or a Victorian settee for photos.

  • Local Wood Event Rentals: Specializing in gorgeous farm tables and wooden furniture, Local Wood offers handcrafted pieces that bring rustic elegance. If you envision farm tables (instead of standard rounds) or a custom wooden arbor or bar, check them out. Their craftsmanship is top-notch and very aligned with barn/farm venue vibes.

  • Something Vintage Rentals: This is a higher-end rental company with beautiful collections. They do curated lounge setups, unique tableware, and more. If you want colored goblets, mix-and-match vintage china, or a show-stopping velvet sofa, Something Vintage is the place. They offer rental “packages” for lounges which can be convenient.

  • Bride and Joy: A smaller local company run by a talented decorator named Jess. Bride and Joy not only rents decor but also offers custom calligraphy. Need a whimsical seating chart sign or hand-lettered place cards? She’s your gal. She has a collection of decor too – think wooden signage, mirrors for seating charts, lanterns, etc., with a more eclectic style.

  • Shagun Weddings & Liz Decorations: If you’re incorporating cultural elements (like an Indian or South Asian ceremony) or just want elaborate stage/backdrops, these vendors specialize in cultural décor. Shagun Weddings and Liz Decorations have inventory for things like mandap setups, draping, vibrant pillows, etc., particularly for Indian weddings. Even if you’re not having a traditional ceremony, you might find jewel-toned linens or unique pieces through them that fit your design.

We can facilitate introductions or you can reach out directly – these vendors know Rixey Manor well. Many of them have worked here and can advise on what pieces fit where (for instance, Fox and Fern knows exactly what size sofa works in the ballroom corner).

Additionally, keep an eye on Facebook Marketplace and wedding resale sites (a lot of couples sell gently used décor after the wedding). Sometimes you can snag 100 mercury glass votives or a cool neon sign for cheap from a past bride. Just be sure you have time to coordinate pickups.

Finally, don’t forget to use what’s naturally here. Our manor and grounds are inherently beautiful; you may not need as much décor as you think. Often a few statement pieces (a welcome sign here, some lanterns there, an arbor swag for the ceremony) are enough to accentuate the venue’s existing charm.

Between our décor inventory and these great local sources, you’ll have no trouble finding those special “finds” to bring your vision to life!
