Key Contract Points & Payments

Your contract is the roadmap to a smooth celebration. Clear, fair, and transparent. Here are the essentials in plain English.
Securing Your Date
Sign the contract and pay the first installment (non-refundable retainer) within the stated window to officially reserve your date. Once you're booked, we turn away all other inquiries for that date. It's yours.
Payment Schedule
Your venue fee is divided into installments: deposit at booking, a midpoint payment, and a final payment due three months before the wedding. We're happy to discuss a personalized plan as long as the balance is cleared by the final due date.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Payments are generally non-refundable if you cancel. If you need to reschedule, contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate a one-time date move, subject to availability and season. We strongly recommend wedding cancellation or postponement insurance for extra peace of mind. If for any reason we cannot legally host your event, you'll receive a refund or reschedule option as outlined in your contract.
Insurance & Liability
A one-day event liability policy naming Rixey Manor as additional insured is required. It's affordable and protects you, your guests, and us.
What's Included & Required
Your contract spells out everything that's included: access time, your on-site coordinator, tables and chairs, and more. It also covers any add-ons you choose. Our in-house bartending team is required when serving alcohol. We don't charge corkage, cake-cutting, or hidden venue fees. Ever.
Planning Milestones
We'll schedule a walkthrough one to two months before your wedding, collect your vendor list, insurance certificate, and final guest count, and finalize your timeline together. Communication is everything. We're here to make sure you feel confident and prepared every step of the way.
Discounts & Specials
Ask us about off-peak and weekday pricing, short-notice availability, and Military or First Responder considerations. Any discounts will be reflected in your proposal and contract.
