Extra Meals

Extra Meals
Highlights
Weddings = multiple meals: rehearsal dinner, wedding-day breakfast/lunch, late-night snacks, brunch.
Rixey provides continental breakfast (fruit, yogurt, bagels, coffee) for on-site guests.
Always plan lunch on wedding day—don’t rely on mimosas alone!
Snack baskets provided; let us know personal favorites if desired.
Accommodate dietary needs with notice (gluten-free, vegan, etc.).
Avoid overloading with excess food—fridge space is limited.
Late-night snacks: s’mores at firepit, sliders, pizza, donuts, hot chocolate station.
Feed vendors too (photographers, DJs, planners).
Friday Rehearsal Dinner
Plan food for rehearsal/welcome gathering (BBQ, food trucks, restaurant dinner).
Confirm arrangements during Final Walkthrough.
Remember staffing may be needed for bar service etc.
Saturday Breakfast
Provided by Rixey: fruit, yogurt, bagels, juice, coffee.
Self-serve and casual (fits with hair/makeup schedules).
Can accommodate dietary requests with notice (GF bagels, almond milk, etc.).
Snacks Throughout
Snack baskets stocked (granola bars, chips).
Many snacks go untouched—don’t overpack.
Wedding Day Lunch
Critical to avoid fainting during vows!
Options: sandwiches, wraps, or deli platters.
Avoid messy or stain-prone foods.
Feed vendors on-site (hair/makeup, crew).
We’ll double-check during Final Walkthrough that lunch is covered.
Dietary Needs
Notify us of special diets (gluten-free, diabetic, vegan).
Kitchen available for medical or baby-related needs (e.g., milk storage).
Late-Night Snacks
S’mores
Provided fire pit and some skewers.
Couples must bring marshmallows, grahams, chocolate, extras.
Note: nut options must be labeled.
Messy, so kept outside.
Other Options
Sliders, pizza delivery, donut wall.
Caterers may offer late-night snack add-ons.
Cold-weather: hot chocolate machine (3 gallons included; bring more chocolate milk if extended).
Vendors
All vendors on-site over a meal should be fed a meal.
Most vendor contract specify that they should be fed the same meal as guests.
Photography teams, DJ, and one bartender typically get fed as soon as the newlyweds eat.
Post-Wedding Leftovers
Leftover desserts, dinners, or snacks can be reused for brunch or after-party.
Coordinate donations if feasible.
Summary
Plan for all meals of the weekend, not just the wedding dinner. A fed wedding party = a happy wedding party.
