Guest Accommodations


Make sure your guests are armed with the info they need to arrive and lodge comfortably:

  • Nearest Airports: Washington Dulles International (approximately 1 hour away) and Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (approximately 45 minutes away) are the closest major airports.

  • Train Station: Culpeper has an Amtrak train station (on the Boston–New Orleans line) for guests who prefer to travel by rail.

  • Hotels: The closest hotels are in Culpeper (about 15–20 minutes from the Manor). Popular choices include the Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, and Wyndham Inn. We recommend blocking rooms there early if you have many out-of-town guests.

  • Transportation Note: Rixey Manor is in a rural area – Uber, Lyft, and local taxis are not reliable here. Encourage guests to use your shuttles (see Shuttle Planning) or carpool.
